The Brief
The InnoEnergy Skills Institute approached us to create a Minecraft learning experience centred around renewable energies; battery technology and solar power in particular. This experience needed to excite and engage a young audience whilst teaching the fundamentals of sustainable energy.
The Build
We created Green Energy City, a virtual world powered entirely by renewable energy. Players learn about battery technology and solar power as they tackle puzzles, minigames and build activities, unlocking special items as they go.
The Result
The Education Edition version launched at InnoEnergy’s TBB event in Amsterdam, and the Marketplace version launched in early 2024. The map was downloaded over 800,000 times in the first 2 months after release.
