The Brief

We were asked by Ally Bank to create Minecraft maps for both the Bedrock Marketplace and Education Edition which teach children some of the key principles of financial literacy in a fun and engaging way.

The Build

We created Fintropolis – a huge city in Minecraft which contains 8 major activities, each relating to a core financial concept and lesson. In addition to completing each activity, players can also purchase and upgrade their own home, choose a career path and earn daily wages. They can increase their bank balance by completing extra activities, earning interest on savings, and trading on the stock exchange.

The Result

Fintropolis has been downloaded over 4.6 million times by children at home and has been used in classrooms around the world alongside Ally’s own lesson plans and learning materials.
